JD (U) to contest Gujarat polls against BJP
Janata Dal- United (JD-U), an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will contest the upcoming assembly polls in the BJP-ruled Gujarat, confirmed the JD-U chief Sharad Yadav. Yadav said his party is ready to form an alliance with the BJP in any state barring Gujarat. When asked about the prime ministerial candidature for NDA, he said that the BJP would nominate the person, as it was the largest NDA constituent, after the 2014 national elections.
