Cauvery row: TN files contempt plea against Karnataka
The Tamil Nadu government has filed a contempt petition against Karnataka government in Supreme Court over its decision to stop the release of water from Cauvery River to the state.Talking to the reporters in Bangalore; Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jagdish Shettar said that suitable actions will be taken in the matter. Meanwhile, Minister of Water Resource, Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai said that the state has complied with the CRA order and their lawyers are capable of taking up the petition to the apex court.
