Jaya pays back MK on Lankan team issue

In an apparent attack on DMK chief M Karunanidhi, who criticised Chief Minister’s J Jayalalithaa’s action of sending back football players from Sri Lanka, the AIADMK supremo said on Thursday that only people with self-respect could speak of the island Tamils.

Recalling that the Union government acted in support of the Lankan government and military during the ‘genocide of Lankan Tamils’, she said Karunanidhi, who was unable to question the Central government’s action, was opposing her government’s move for protecting the welfare of island Tamils.

Narrating an incident from the life of Justice Party founder Sir P T Thiyagaraya, hailed as ‘Velludai Vendhar’ (king in white clothes), Jayalalithaa said when he was asked to change his usual white dress and turban to welcome the Prince of Wales by the British Governor Lord Wellington, Thiyagaraya, who founded the movement for self-respect, refused to change his attire. Finally, the British government permitted him to welcome the Prince in his usual attire.

“This is an example for the self-respect of Tamils. Those who have this kind of self-respect alone can speak about Sri Lankan Tamils. It will be good if others did not speak about it”.

“Those who have lost self-respect due to selfishness should not find fault on my actions which expresses opposition to the Lankan government which is destroying the welfare of island Tamils”, she said.

Explaining her decision to send back the football players from Lanka, the Chief Minister said “I insisted the Centre to abandon the military training for Lankan personnel in India. Since, the island Tamils have not been rendered justice, I we banned Lankan football players from getting training in Tamil Nadu.

People of Tamil Nadu as well as Tamils living worldwide commended my action”, she said and added that her government was also firm that no obstacle should be caused to the tourists and pilgrims from the island nation.

Hon Mahinda (Mr Rajapaksa) our beloved prsident is not only a hero he is the Raja Raja Maha Raja who saved our island from Tamils. We love him we honor him and we will keep him in power for many many more years. We know there are weakness and areas that he is not looking in to or sorting out in our country but we can bear that as he cleansed our land of the terrorists and send Praba and his gang to eelam in the sky.

What self respect for us , we have to live with the fear of getting killed with radiation leaks, we cant stop him coming to India and starting Buddhist universities in India. we cant stop India training their soldiers. There is nothing we can do except talk the big talk and break up our own busses.

This is a misconception of innocent tamils were murdered in SL. Sri lanka rescued the tamils from Prabakaran the terror monster. Did you think this is a racial war ??? You Tamil nationalists are the most screwed up minds in the whole world, have self respect ??? by throwing stones at TAMILS who came on pilgrimage from SL ? Are you that blind ... Chasing football teams came on goodwill missions ?? uncivilized behavior as such will gain lot of respect in your Tamil nationalist world, not elsewhere.

Since when did you fellows had self respect. You exploited the nonsense called "Dravidiam" and wanted independence. But the next moment joined forces together with family members looting the tax payers money and bringing colossal loss and damage to the Indian economy. Indian security takes precedence against all parochial interests. Singhalese are part and parcel of the Indian racial fabric .

why so much concern in Sri Lanka, what about Malaysia where Tamils live like slaves, they don't even have right to by lands there, there they treat them like third class citizens.
