Tainted Dy BDO suspended

Deputy Block Development Officer (BDO) of Noon Meal Programme, Natrampalli Saratha (57), was on Tuesday suspended for demanding and accepting a bribe from a noon meal organiser to verify and update his service record book.
The Vellore Unit of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) had laid a trap and caught Saratha on Saturday after she accepted a bribe of `3,000 from Suryamoorthy, noon meal organiser, at her office in the Vellore Collectorate.
