TAMIN clerk held; inspector suspended

In yet another major action in the illegal granite quarrying case, a senior clerk of Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited (TAMIN) was arrested and a police inspector suspended, on Friday. Seenivasan (40), a senior clerk at the TAMIN Corporate office in Chennai, was arrested for supplying crucial documents of other firms to PK Selvaraj, owner of the Sindhu granite. Meanwhile Madurai DIG, suspended inspector Ramakrishnan for failing to arrest an offender though an FIR was filed against him for producing fake vehicle permits for the granite companies in Melur.
