Petitions to Chief Minister just a click away

13th August 2012 07:44 AM

Want to submit a petition to Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa but are wary of the possible hassle in approaching her special cell? Relax. You can now file it online and get an acknowledgement.

A new website for the Chief Minister’s Special Cell that facilitates you to file your petitions online has just been inaugurated by Jayalalithaa. After you mail your petition to the website, http://tn.cm.gov.in, an acknowledgement will be sent to your e-mail id immediately. Your petition will then be forwarded to the concerned authority for appropriate action.

Jayalalithaa also launched a text message acknowledgement service for petitions that reach the cell through snail mail, speed post or courier service. Of course, that will work only if you mention your mobile number on the petition. The text message will mention the registration number of your petition and specify the office that will initiate action.

On average, the special cell receives around 3,000 to 3,500 petitions each day through various means, including post and e-mail. The petitions cover a variety of issues, such as seeking proper implementation of government schemes. They are serialised and demarcated for proper action. The new system is meant to hasten the administration’s response system, a government press release said.

To our respected Hon. CM mam, i am residing in villivakkam, chennai, in our area for the past one week we are getting black, bad odour smelled drinking water. There are more than 1000 families living in our street, people are finding very difficult to get the drinking water, even metro water is coming in lorry tank and some people are collecting money for getting the water. Kindly take this matter as a serious and I hope you will take necessary steps immediately. Thanking You
