DMK youth wing functionary hacked to death

A DMK youth wing functionary was
hacked to death allegedly by some persons near here following
a verbal spat during a cricket match, police said today.
Prabhu (30) succumbed to his injuries in the government
hospital here, they said.
The victim was into fish business and also serving as a
driver of DMK secretary, Moorthy.
A quarrel broke out between Prabhu and a group of
youngsters during the cricket match in Arapalayam on Sunday
and Prabhu had allegedly thrashed one person.
He had come to Arapalayam again last night when a heated
exchange broke out between him and the group, following which
some persons hacked him to death, police said, adding they are
looking for Silambarasan in connection to the incident.
Pottu Suresh, another DMK functionary and associate of
Union Minister M K Alagiri, was hacked to death near here on
January 31.
