Summons issued to MK

Sumons have been issued to DMK chief M Karunanidhi and S Selvam, printer, publisher and editor of Murasoli, to appear before the Principal Sessions Court in a defamation case on December 18.
The government filed the defamation complaint on November 9 against Karunanidhi and Selvam for publishing an article on August 23 which, it contended, was published with an intention to defame Labour Minister ST Chellapandian.
In another case against printer, publisher, editor and reporter of Ananda Vikatan for publishing an item on August 22 allegedly defaming the minister, he was asked to appear the same day.
