Train services between Rayagada and Sambalpur were affected on Wednesday with the Nagarik Manch (Citizens’ Committee) of Bissam-Cuttack staging a 48-hour rail roko at Bissam-Cuttack railway station demanding stoppage of all Express trains.
Reports said Visakhapatnam-Durg passenger, Puri-Ahmedabad and Koraput Howrah Express trains were stranded at Rayagada while Bhubaneswar-bound Tapaswini Express via Sambalpur could not leave the railway station.
Sources said the Rayagada-Sambalpur Intercity had been cancelled and Visakhapatnam-Raipur passenger was short terminated at Rayagada.
