Panel to look into private varsity projects

The Department of Higher Education (DHE) has formed an expert committee to look into all pending proposals for setting up of private universities in the State.
At a high-level meeting held recently, the State Government appointed a three-member expert committee in order to clear the pending private university proposals.
The committee, headed by Prof Damodar Acharya, Director, IIT, Kharagpur, will also have IGNOU Director Prof Gopinath Pradhan and eminent educationist and economist, Prof Sudhakar Panda as members.
