Reverberations 2012 held

Reverberations 2012, a conference of District 82 of the Toastmasters International, was held at the Flora Airport Hotel, Nedumbassery. The conference was inaugurated by former international president of the Toastmasters International (2003-04) Ted Corcoran, of Ireland.
The other dignitaries who attended the function were international director of Toastmasters International Arunasalam Balraj, Nina John, district governor Kerala, division governor Kerala Ninan C S, and conference chair of Reverberations 2012 Joseph Basil. Over 400 delegates from more than 200 clubs of District 82, comprising Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Sri Lanka, attended the event.
Educational sessions on the ‘Nuances of Leadership’ were delivered by IIM Kozhikode director Debashish Chatterjee and Ted Corcoran.District-level contests for humorous speech, along with evaluation contests, were also held. Alexander Babu Arulantham (Amazon Chennai Toastmasters Club) was the winner in the humorous section. The first and second runners-up were Sriram S (Herbal Dhwani Toastmasters Club, Bangalore) and Guruprasad N (Medley Toastmasters Club, Chennai), respectively.
In the evaluation contest, the winner was Malini Hebbar (Winners Toastmasters Club, Mangalore) while the first runner-up was Arna Chugani (Chennai Speakers’ Forum) and second runner-up was Keshav Somasekhar (Daffodils Toastmasters Club, Bangalore).
