Terrorist produced before court

A terrorist who had been arrested by the police in Mumbai was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Thalassery, the other day.
Rayees, a native of Chakkarakkal and suspected to be a close associate of Thadiyantavide Nazeer, was the third accused in a case involving the detection of explosives at Anjarakkandy here.
The explosives were recovered in 2009. According to police, the explosives were handed over to Rayees for disposal by Nazeer. He left for Saudi Arabia where he was imprisoned.
He was deported to Mumbai following the expiry of his visa. Rayees was nabbed by the emigration authorities as he landed in Mumbai and was handed over to the Kerala police.
