Accompanied by the chanting of ancient hymns and the fragrance of incense sticks, two Czech citizens will embrace Hinduism by donning the sacred thread at Advaita Ashram near Kolathoor here on Tuesday.
Dr Michael Blazej and Martin Marek will embrace the oldest religion in the world at a ceremony to be held early in the morning under the supervision of religious acharyas. From his youth days itself, Dr Michael Blazej, 37, a medical practitioner in Prague, has been keeping touch with Indian spiritual thoughts and Vedas. Martin Marek, 44, a kindergarten teacher, also has been following Hinduism and its preachings for 15 years.
The duo are ardent acolytes of Sathya Sai Baba and active members of Veda Union in Prague, which embarked upon promoting unity, love and peace among all through the teachings of the Vedas and recitation of sacred Vedic hymns in Europe. Both the Czechs are vegetarians too and abstain from alcohol, smoking and drugs.
The Sanskrit classes under retired IAS officer V Vijaya Chandran in Prague have drawn them close to Advaita Ashram here and Swami Chidanandapuri, main pontiff of the ashram.

A warm welcome to the mother of all religions, Dr Michael Blazej and Mr. Martin Marek! Now to people like the 'Krishnan' namesakes who post ignorant comments - For some, ignorance is bliss. Do you think they too just 'converted' by attending one 'meeting' or for the sake of a few grains of rice, milk powder or the sort? As mentioned in here, one of them, a medical practitioner in Prague, has been keeping touch with Indian spiritual thoughts and Vedas since his youth days itself and the other, a kindergarten teacher, also has been following Hinduism and its preachings for 15 years. So, they know very well what they do unlike you, who wants to spit on your own face, without even trying to know about the religion, if I can use that word, you were 'born into'. This statement would be correct only if I am not addressing someone who used a fake name to comment here, else it is just a hate message. I only wish the almighty throws some light to drive away your ignorance!

RSS is bent upon establishing Hindu Rashtra in which Hinduism will have primacy. It is no secret that communal elements have penetrated in other political parties but in bureaucracy, media, even police and armed forces. They are trying to tilt the balance in favor of Sangh Parivar wherever possible. Leftism and Christianity had contributed immensely in the social upliftment of Kerala. As a result Dalits/OBCs/other weaker sections enjoy fairly an equal social status unlike the rest of the country where they are ill-treated. If RSS is really interested in eradicating the social evils of caste/untouchability,why do not they start the mission in the BJP ruled states, known for such atrocities? I have personally interacted with many admirers of RSS, who are also proud of their superior caste hierarchy vis-à-vis the rest, whom they consider as fellow Hindu. Why is not that RSS not coming with a campaign for inter caste marriage among Hindus?Proof of the pudding is in eating it.
