Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president G Parameshwar has stated that there would be no change in guard for the party president.
Speaking to reporters at Hubli airport on Saturday, Parameshwar said, “No party would like to change its party president during the election though there is pressure from a group of leaders seeking for a change of party president. However, the party high command apparently has not taken the issue seriously,” he added.
Parameshwar said he was ready to give up the post if the party high command directs him to do so. “The party high command would be taking an appropriate decision. It is unlikely that there would be any change,” he claimed. He said the party would be face the upcoming Assembly elections under collective leadership.
