RGUHS entrance test in February

18th December 2012 11:59 AM

The state will conduct Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) 2013 for MBBS and BDS courses, but subject to Supreme Court verdict on National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

The decision to conduct CET was taken at a high-level meeting conducted by the Department of Medical Education, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) on Monday.

Dr G S Venkatesh, director of Directorate of Medical Education (DME) said, “The SC verdict has been scheduled for January 15, 16 and 17, 2013, and based on the outcome KEA will conduct CET. If the SC announces that the NEET 2013 is mandatory, then the necessary coaching classes for second PU students will be conducted by the KEA.”

He also said that the  Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) will be conducted for 2013 academic year by RGUHS.

“The state will not go by the NEET PG for the 2013 admissions and most likely in the second week of February RGUHS PGET will be held,” Dr Venkatesh added.

Meanwhile, a KEA official said that a concrete decision about CET 2013 will be taken on December 28 after another meeting by the Medical Education Department. Based on the decision, the coaching classes for NEET UG and second PU examination will be conducted by the KEA, he said.

Starting to lose hope on this system. The medical education minister is not taking any decision at all. Even he is not clear what to do. Yesterday he was saying that we will consider only neet-pg rankings for admission to pg courses. Now someone from rguhs declares that they are not going to accept neet-pg results for admission,

Starting to lose hope on this system. The medical education minister is not taking any decision at all. Even he is not clear what to do. Yesterday he was saying that we will consider only neet-pg rankings for admission to pg courses. Now someone from rguhs declares that they are not going to accept neet-pg results for admission, & they are going to conduct their own exam. Now I cant decide whom to listen & whom not to. Is the minister & rguhs going to give joint statement to clear the air surrounding this matter?

nobody z thinking about medical students... v dnt no wat to do,.. wat nt to,,, whthr to start study or not.. why dey peopl cnducted neet if d validity of it was not clear??? dey r just playing wid our future... first thing,, neet was cnfrmd 2 mnths before.. nd it was prepond.. nd d pattern was disclosd few days before.. nd nw wen v did our best for d neet.. dey say neet z nt valid? wat d hell?? will dey again announc state 15 days before??? i just want to forward my msg to our education minister... plz dnt play wid us.. u r just wasting our tym..

NEET PG SCORE SHOULD BE ACCEPTED BY ALL COLLEGES AS PROBLEM IS NOT ABOUT SYLLABUS AS IT IS FOR NEET UG. ACCORDING TO MCI IT IS COMPULSORY TO ACCEPT NEET PG RANK & THIER WILL ONE & ONLY PG ENTARANCE FROM 2013.

its just feelin professionally gettin raped by this system.:) time to raise voice:)badly
