Siddaramaiah seeks Lokayukta probe on CAG report

Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah on Saturday urged the state government to refer observations of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) on land denotification and illegal mining to the Lokayukta.
He said that 212 acres of land had been denotified by the government in and around Bangalore between 2007 and 2012 during the tenures of H D Kumaraswamy, B S Yeddyurappa and D V Sadananda Gowda as chief ministers. Earlier, Siddaramaiah led a delegation of Congress leaders to meet Governor H R Bhardwaj to request him not to give assent to two controversial Bills passed in the state Assembly.
