Independent MLAs meet SM Krishna

Four former ministers and independent legislators, including Venkataramanappa and Narendra Swamy met former External Affairs’ minister S M Krishna at the latter’s residence here on Thursday.
The independent legislators were with the Congress leader for over 30 minutes and reportedly discussed the present political scenario in the state.
The meeting assumed importance following the reports of independent legislators planning to join the Congress and contest with the party ticket in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Congress members Shivaraj Thangady and D Sudhakar also met Krishna.
The legislators described the meeting as “a courtesy visit and it assumes no political importance”.
