Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa will remain in the BJP and lead the campaign for the upcoming Assembly election, said Medical Education Minister S A Ramdas.
He told reporters at Chikballapur after attending the BJP workers convention on Sunday that the former CM struggled to bring the BJP to power and had initiated a number of development programmes.
Ramdas hoped that the high command would accommodate him. The state and high command leaders will patch up their differences shortly, he said.
The Minister also said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will come to power with a thumping majority, as the Bharatiya Janata Party government had implemented various developmental programmes compared to previous governments.
