Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has said he will take a decision on the resignation of roads and buildings minister Dharmana Prasada Rao only after the state government gets a reply from him on the charges levelled against him in the CBI’s chargesheet.

Talking to a TV channel at Mahbubnagar, where he on Indiramma Baata, on Saturday, Reddy said the government was awaiting the minister’s reply and a decision on his resignation would be taken only after going through the reply.

But some senior ministers are of the view that the chief minister may put off his decision till September 25 when the minister is to appear in the court.

Depending on the court’s decision, the chief minister might take a final call on the resignation issue, said a minister.
