The Tirupati wildlife forest staff and the Chandragiri police recovered 10 tonnes of red sanders logs in three different incidents on Saturday.
Though the police and the forest staff were not revealing the exact worth of the seized logs, it was estimated to cost around Rs 2 to 3 crore in the international market.
Acting on a credible information about the smuggling of the wood, the forest staff laid a trap and seized red sanders logs being transported in a lorry at Chandamamapalle near Srinivasa Mangapuram on Saturday.
