Paying heed to the advice of Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao, the Congress state leadership has decided to hold a brainstorming session to chalk out an action plan to rejuvenate the party rank and file for the 2014 polls.
Sources said tentatively the meet has been scheduled for September 27 while the exact date will be finalised soon as per the convenience of chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
AICC functionaries are likely to take part in the daylong session to be attended by MPs, MLAs, MLCs and leaders from districts.
“The meeting is aimed at taking suggestions from party leaders on the ways to strengthen the party,” said a senior leader. The party also sees it as a way to pacify the second-rung leaders frustrated by the delay in filling up nominated posts.
