At a time when Congress MPs from the Telangana region are vigorously lobbying for a speedy decision on the Telangana issue and chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's detractors for an overhaul of the state cabinet, the Congress high command has summoned governor ESL Narasimhan to the national capital on Monday.
Sources said on Sunday that Narasimhan would leave for New Delhi on Monday morning to hold confabulations with the AICC top brass over the political situation in the state. He is likely to meet President Pranab Mukherjee and congratulate him on becoming the first citizen of the country. Though sources in the Raj Bhavan claim that Narasimhan's Delhi tour hasĀ no political importance, sources in the Congress say the governor has been summoned to Delhi as the demands for and against state's bifurcation are gaining momentum.
