Wedding delay leads to lovers’ suicide

Two lovers T Siva Durga (22) and P Eswara Rao (25) committed suicide at separate places Sunday evening.
According to the police, Eswara Raoand Siva Durga, both natives of Saluru, were working in a private company at Pydibheemavaram of Srikakulam district. Siva Durga’s parents agreed to their daughter’s proposal for marriage with Eswara Rao.
Eswara Rao requested Siva Durga’s parents to wait for some time saying that his sister’s marriage should precede his.
However, Siva Durga committed suicide by hanging herself from the roof of her house at Jeerigam village in Ranasthalam mandal.
On coming of know this, Eswara Rao ended his life consuming a pesticide at Pusapatirega where he was residing.No suicide notes were found.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination. Investigation is on.
