Naidu showers sops on disabled

Free education will be provided to physically- challenged persons from the kindergarten to post-graduate levels, and a sub-plan created for them if the Telugu Desam is voted to power, party president N Chandrababu has said.
Participating in a function organised at Pentakurdu in Bodhan mandal in Nizamabad district on Monday on the occasion of the International Disability Day during his Meekosam Vastunna padaytra, Naidu accused the Congress government of neglecting the physically-challenged.
They were provided all facilities in other countries but not in India, he remarked.
Naidu also promised the physically-challenged a hike in pension from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500, housing, electricity at 50 pc concession, free transportation in buses apart from free education up to the PG level and creation of a sub-plan for them.
He also assured them that he would strive to provide reservation in legislative bodies for them.
Later, the TDP chief distributed tricycles and blankets to disabled persons.
