Naidu gets more interactive with people

“I am not against Telangana demand. In future also I will not oppose Telangana,” TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu reiterated his stand on Telangana statehood issue here on Monday.

The TDP chief continued his Vastunna Meekosam Padayatra for the 50th day (second day in Medak district) from Indrakaran to Chenttapalli villages in Sangareddy mandal. He addressed people at Indrakaran, Cheryal, Kashipur and Kandi villages besides interacting with them to know their response to the central and state government policies. He also enquired with villagers whether they saw any difference between the Congress and TDP rule.

Most of the people gave a negative opinion on the current government programmes while some said their situation turned from bad to worse under the present dispensation. After he was insisted by some villagers to give clarity on Telangana demand, the TDP chief said he was not against Telangana demand.

Referring to the purported letter written by Union minister Kishore Chandra Deo on chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chierf Botcha Satyanarayana, he said from this people should understand what kind of leaders were ruling the state.

Naidu felt that it would have been better if his party would have snapped tie with the BJP-led NDA after Gujurat riot.

Naidu Fumes at SP

The TDP chief came down heavily on Medak superintendent of police Avinash Mohanty for not allowing the TDP leaders to use 2G sound system during the padayatra from Kashipur village. Naidu said he has been using the same system through out his yatra without any objection. Only in Ongole, police had some objections and then he got the permission from the Director General of Police (DGP) to use 2 G sound system. He wrote a letter to the SP and said after getting a reply he would decide on his next course of action.

Curbs for CM’s Meet Too

Recently, the SP also imposed restrictions on using 2G sound system during chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s Indiramma Bata programme in the district, prompting Sangareddy MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy to demand the SP’s transfer.
