5 die, 9 hurt as lorry, auto collide

In a ghastly road mishap, five people died and nine more received injuries , when a speeding lorry collided with the autorickshaw they were travelling in near Sirgapur village in Dilwarpur mandal on Sunday .
According to information, a group of fourteen people from Vanalapadu village in Bhainsa mandal, boarded in an autorickshaw, were on their way to attend a function in Mallapur village of Dilwarpur mandal on Sunday.
A cement-laden lorry coming in opposite direction, after overtaking a container lorry, hit the autorickshaw near Sirgapur village in Dilwarpur mandal. Gajula Narsapur sub-inspector Jaganmohan Reddy said being informed, they rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Government General Hospital in Nirmal.
The condition of two persons among the injured was reported to be critical. The deceased were identified as T Saianna (30), R Satwaji (60), G Gangadhar (65), G Prakash (35) and Sri Abhijit (6). The police registered a case and investigating.
55-Yr-Old Man Killed by Friend
Hyderabad: A 55-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his friend at Sumitranagar in Kukatpally police limits on Sunday. According to police, K Tulasaiah, a resident of Viveknagar, in an inebriated condition, entered into an argument with his friend Krishna, who, in a fit of rage, smashed his head with a boulder and escaped.
