Governors of three states, the chief minister and about 70 percent of the state cabinet, people’s representatives and scores of leaders and activists from all political parties thronged the wedding of Satyasree Anusha, daughter of PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana at Pradeep Nagar in Vizianagaram on Friday.
All roads leading to the venue on NH- 43 were jammed for hours together. Even some ministers found it very difficult to reach the venue.
Adding to the chaos was key functionaries in the government, industrialists and film actors arrived at the venue in luxury cars.
Andhra Pradesh governor ESL Narasimhan, Tamil Nadu governor K Rosaiah, Karnataka governor HR Bharadwaj and chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy were among the scores of VVIPs who arrived at the Visakhapatnam airport since morning.
Though Congress leaders and fans organised a grand welcome for Union tourism minister K Chiranjeevi, it was turned into a low-key affair following the sudden demise of TDP politburo member K Yerran Naidu in a road accident.
However, Chiranjeevi announced sanction of Rs 50 crore for the development of tourism in the City of Destiny, Visakhapatnam.
With most of the hotels, guesthouses and lodges booked for the marriage, tourists who arrived in Visakhapatnam city without prior reservation had difficulty in getting accommodation.
Despite rain playing a spoilsport, over one lakh guests, including VVIPs and their staff, attended the marriage. The sprawling 30-acre venue was filled with guests

Are politicians out of bounds for CBI to lay hands on and figure out how they got tons of money to spend so lavisly ??? Guess only government officials are under scrunity for ill gotten money. As long the politicians continue to enjoy unhindered the corrupt lives without any fear, corrupt will be impossible to be eradicated. CBI and all government agencies are used by ruling parties to protect their corrupt practises and harass the opposition to surrender. Bottomline, corrupt people encouraging common man to give up honesty.

You r mistaken. Not all officials/politicians are probed by CBI or any other law enforcing authorities. Only people, who did illegal thinga and don't hv any political backing will hv to pay up. See YSJagan(I am not asupporter of him) whose father did all those things got scot free because he was votecacher for congress and Sonia had no guts to tackle him. Now she threw out Jagan and made hito go jail. If he rejins congress, he will walkfree and all his sins are washed away. See Mayavathi, Mulyam, Lallu,Guruji of Jharkhand and so many other people. This is the best case, where in Income tax/wealth tax can investigate, how so much money can be spent like this. But, nobody has the guts to do such things in India. "Idhar sab kutch chalta hai"

How nice it would have been if the marriage had been conducted in an austere manner. The politico couple (parents of the bride) would have set a good standard.

Indian democratic set -up allows it. Indian psyche tolerates it.Who is am aadmi to question it?We have to grin and bear it till Gandhi is born again and His principle that whoever has more than what he needs is a thief is put into practice.
