Composer Palagummi passes away

Renowned music composer and lyricist Palagummi Viswanadham passed away in Hyderabad on Thursday evening. He was 93 and was suffering from ill health.
Viswanadham composed music for about 15,000 songs of which he penned nearly 100 songs.
Viswanadham was born at Tirupatipuram in East Godavari district in 1919, the fourth of five children, the eldest was P Padmaraju, the well-known writer.
Viswanadham worked closely with Devulapalli Venkata Krishna Sastry, the great Telugu poet. He also worked with other great poets C Narayana Reddy, Dasarathi and Sasanka.
Great singers like Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna, Vakkalanka Sarala, M Chittaranjan, PB Srinivas and others rendered his compositions.He bagged several awards that inlcude Nandi, Hamsa and others.
