Amidst the lows of being axed from India's Davis Cup team, Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna put in a sterling performance to march into the finals of the men's doubles Cincinnati tennis Masters.
The Indian pair had little problem in disposing of Croatia's Ivan Dodig and Brazil's Marcelo Melo 6-4, 6-3 here Saturday.
Bhupathi and Bopanna will have a chance to win their second ATP title of the year when they take on fourth seeded pair of Sweden's Robert Lindstedt and Romania's Horia Tecau, who beat second seeded American pair of Mike and Bob Bryan 7-5, 6-7(5), 10-2, in the finals of the $2,825,280 hard court event.
The sixth seeds had won the Dubai Open in February.
Earlier, India's Leander Paes and his Czech partner Radek Stepanek were knocked out in the second round.
