NIA has joined Jindal interrogation, court told

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has joined in the interrogation of Abu Jindal Hamza in a case related to David Coleman Headley, Delhi Police told a city court Wednesday. Both Hamza, an Indian national, and Headley, a Pakistani American, have confessed to their role in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vinod Yadav adjourned the NIA plea seeking custody of Jindal in a fresh case for Thursday, saying he was under the custody of Delhi Police Special Cell till June 5.

Jindal was arrested at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here June 21 after his deportation from Saudi Arabia.

He is being interrogated by several investigating teams including the Intelligence Bureau, Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad team and Delhi Police.
