Within a week of a 23-year-old woman being gang-raped by six men in a moving bus in the capital, a 40-year-old woman has alleged that she was raped in her house by three men at knife-point Wednesday, police said. Two of the accused have been arrested.
"The incident was reported from east Delhi's Welcome area. The woman, who lives with her family, alleged that three of her neighbours raped her when she was alone at home Wednesday evening," said a police officer Friday.
A case was lodged after her medical examination at Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital confirmed rape.
Two of the accused, Gaffar and Alam, were arrested from their house while the third accused is on the run, police said.
The accused used to visit her house regularly.

The criminals have no regard for the law especially in Delhi where the formidable presence of two powerful law making women does not make any fear is a sad commentary on the poor performance of governance and law enforcing bodies. Women chief minister of Delhi can not guarantee safety to women. What a national shame ! When the time is not enough to safeguard their party and wealth what can they do for helpless poor middle class women? Women are not safe in our so called democratic India against money and muscle power thanks to the callous attitude of our legislatures, The least thing our legislators can do is to ensure stringent punishments like castration for the perpetrators of this sort of heinous crimes Until then feminism is a myth and irony..

People are saying that our women aren't safe but I will say that we people.aren't making such atmosphere in which women can be saved. Islam has the solution for all the problem.

Its very sad that even a henious crime like rape is being used by few communal people to give a communal dimension. Shame on ppl like you who are a disgrace, you have not realised irrespective of the religion one who practises, rape against woment is a crime and these have to dealt very severely, where is the question of religion coming here?

The rape attempts can be stopped in country only by killing or cutting the penis of the rapists, by public. No FIR, no arrest,no courtroom drama, desicison on the spot.

Totally agree with Ravi Shankar Ravi Behead the people who commit such heinous crime in public This is the only solution to bring an end to such crime in our country! We all have mother , sisters, at our house we must keep ourselves in that position and we'll get the answer as to wat had to be done with such corrupt minded people who live amongst us! Kill them in public Hang them Or let them live a disgraced life with cutting off their penis!!!!!!

The rape attempts can be stopped in country only by killing or cutting the penis of the rapists, by public. No FIR, no arrest,no courtroom drama, decision on the spot, change the law or else same thing will be happening to a girl till world ends, Jago India Jago, think a girl as ur sister, as ur mom & give a support for this crime
