Cremation site of Thackeray similar to Ayodhya: Sena

27th November 2012 05:38 PM

Shiv Sena today said the place where Sena supremo Bal Thackeray's last rites were conducted was similar to Ayodhya.

"The place where Balasaheb's last rites were conducted at the Shivaji Park is similar to Ayodhya. The sanctity of the place should be maintained. It is like a temple for us and we won't remove the structure that has come up at the cremation site," Raut told reporters here.

He also asked the government and court not to intervene in the issue. "The government and court should not come in between," he added.

"Its sanctity is similar to Ayodhya. We are not calling it a memorial. But we want the memorial at the Shivaji Park," Raut said.

Senior party leader Manohar Joshi first made the demand for the memorial of Bal Thackeray at Shivaji Park, soon after Thackeray was cremated.

The Sena patriarch died on 17th of this month at his 'Matoshree' residence.

Yes they seems to act as if they have become a law unto themselves! Now they feel it right to even ask the court and government to not interfere in what they think is right even if it goes against the law of the land! By asking the court not to intervene in this issue, they have now openly announced that they do not respect the law of the land! They even had the brawn to insult Lord Ram, comparing Bal Thackeray to Lord Ram by saying that the place of Bal Thackeray's last rites is similar to Ayodhya.

The memorial can come at Matoshri. Manohar joshi - Bal Thak Chief puppet will bemome the pundit.

Sooner the government intervenes the better. India is slowly but surely turning into memorials for mediocre politicians. Is the home minister listening??

If the court has reasons to intervene , it has to and it will. Asking the court not to intervene is an insult to the justice system in the country.
