Amid calls for execution of 2001 Parliament attack death row convict Afzal Guru after the hanging of Ajmal Kasab yesterday, separatist JKLF today warned of "disastrous consequences" if the Centre takes any "wrong decision" about him.
"If the Indian state repeats its mistake (of hanging JKLF founder Mohammad Maqbool Bhat) and takes any wrong decision about Mohammad Afzal Guru, it will have disastrous consequences for the whole region," JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik said in a statement here.
The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front leader said after the hanging of Kasab, BJP and some Congress leaders have raised their rhetoric demanding hanging of Guru which has set a wave of concern among the Kashmiris.

I am not surprised. If we have a spineless govt at the center and a govt favoring the separatists at the state, we can't avoid these sorts of calls. Time has come for us to through away this spineless govt and to act like Israel, to finish all terror groups in & out of India.

I fully endorse the view of Mr. Sritharan . the successive governments at the centre have been spineless when it comes to doing away with separatists and terrorists. Their activities should have been met with an iron hand. instead we had a home minister who wanted talks with naxals. These terrorists and separatists belong to one category - Anti National. They deserve no pity or sympathy whatsoever . exterminate such forces no matter how brutal it turns out to be. The central government should have the guts to send a stern message to perpetrators of such activities that they will be done away with if they continue to engage in such acts. If they9Centre) don't why don't they just get out instead of clinging on to power like leeches.
