Pyari threatens to Make OJM new party

After organising two successful rallies at Bhubaneswar and Bhawanipatna within a month, Odisha Jana Morcha (OJM) chairman Pyarimohan Mohapatra announced on Monday that the next course of action would be to convert the Morcha to a political party if the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leaders, including Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, did not reform themselves.

“The next course of action of the Morcha will, however, be decided after consultation with the workers,” Pyarimohan told Express after the Kranti Samabesh at Bhawanipatna on Monday.

“The next course of action will eventually be floating of the political party, if they (BJD leaders) do not reform,” the erstwhile adviser-turned-foe of Naveen said.

Pyarimohan did not elaborate in how many seats the Morcha would contest in the next elections. “My priority is to organise the Morcha all over the state,” he said.

Addressing the rally, Pyarimohan said if the Morcha would be forced to go to poll campaign and wins, it would solve the problems of KBK (undivided Kalahandi, Balangir and Koraput districts) region. He said the aim of OJM is to establish internal democracy in BJD.
