BJP leader and former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Shanta Kumar wants an inquiry into the property owned by the Gandhi family near Shimla, India Against Corruption (IAC) said Monday.
Shanta Kumar, now a member of the Rajya Sabha, Sunday wrote to IAC leader Arvind Kejriwal, asking him to conduct an investigation about the property belonging to Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra.
"Priyanka
Vadra's family also has a property... I don't have the full information
about it but it is worth crores of rupees. Please add it to your list. The nation is with you in this important movement," Shanta Kumar said in
his letter.
IAC, however, wanted to know why the BJP government in Himachal was not probing the property allegedly owned by the Gandhis.
"There
is a BJP government in Himachal. It is easy for them to probe if there is any property belonging to Priyanka Vadra in Shimla. Still Shanta Kumar says he does not have full information about it. We can't understand this," a press statement from IAC said.
"We have also come to know that outsiders are not allowed to buy land in Himachal without government permission. How was Priyanka Vadra allowed to buy that property and by which government," the statement added.
Vadra is married to Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka.

If our nationals go at this direction, we can change the name of India to Probedesh.
