At the recent International Bus and Utility Vehicle Show, Force Motors displayed its range of new products which were aesthetically divided into three different zones. The first zone showcased the various Light Commercial Vehicles, including the recently-launched Traveller 26, the only 26-seater monocoque panel van in the world. Also on display was its school bus variant. Force Motors also showcased an air-conditioned Traveller CNG vehicle which will serve as a customer relations/Metro-feeder vehicle. This concept vehicle will seat 12 passengers comfortably in reclining seats.
The second zone was dedicated to Special Purpose Vehicles—ready-to-use applications like the garbage tipper, jetting machine and de-silting machine for solid waste management that are used by municipal corporations. These are built on the proven Traveller Shaktiman and the Trump range of vehicles.
The third zone showcased the newest members of the Force stable—the personal vehicles. The Force One, Force Motors’ first offering in this segment, was launched in 2011. A “refreshed” variant of this SUV was present for the audience. The Gurkha, which is the latest offering in the Personal Vehicles Division, was launched. It is an off-roader vehicle that has capability to take on any terrain like the hills, desert and rocky uneven paths, according to the company. Its distinctive intake “Snorkel” in sparkling chrome finish ensures ample supply of fresh air to the engine which enables the Gurkha to have best in class water fording height.
