After getting a BSc in Computer Science from the Stanford University, Sachin Agarwal landed his dream job at Apple and as a Senior Software Engineer there worked on the famous video editing tool Final Cut Pro.
Sachin Agarwal, born to restaurateur parents in London, is one of a kind. Fascinated by his first encounter with a Mac at the age of 12, Agarwal is a lifelong Apple fan who claims he never used a PC in his life. After getting a BSc in Computer Science from the Stanford University, Agarwal landed his dream job at Apple and as a Senior Software Engineer there worked on the famous video editing tool Final Cut Pro. In 2008, he noticed that any of the existing services for sharing photos and videos are not really intuitive. Determined to start his own service that made sharing really easy, he quit his secure job at Apple and took the plunge into the world of entrepreneurs. He named his company Posterous, which is a pun on say that all sharing services before it are pre-posterous. The services innovativeness attracted $10 million in angel funding which helped Agarwal concentrate on product development, engineering and operations as the CEO of the company. In 2011, another company close to his heart, Twitter, acquired Posterous. Agarwal now works as a Product Manager at Twitter.
