At only 1.9cm thin, it is one of the thinnest laptops on the market but still promises a battery life of 8.5 hours. This Intel Celeron 2955U processor is complemented by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of SSD flash storage. Unlike Chromebook 11, it has support for HDMI output using a dedicated port along with the usual USB 3.0/2.0 ports and a SD card reader. Use of Google’s Chrome OS means that you get very fast boot up times of less than 7 seconds, constant automatic software updates from Google, and the added convenience of using a wide variety of apps on the Chrome web store.
The Samsung Chromebook with its 11.6-inch display is the world’s best selling Chromebook. Weighing a little over 1Kg, and with a thin 0.7 inch chassis, the Samsung Chromebook is a very compact machine running on 1.7 GHz Exynos 5250 Dual Core processor supplemented by 2GB of DDR3L RAM and 16GB of solid state internal storage. Like the Acer machine it has USB 3.0/2.0 ports and a HDMI outlet. Samsung is also promising 6.5 hours of battery life with fast boot up times of less than ten seconds. For that price, Samsung is also promising you 100GB of free Google Drive storage for two years.
