Impressive star cameos in 'Veyilodu Vilayadu

It seems everything falls in place for a good script or that’s what you would think as far as the film 'Veyilodu Vilayadu' is concerned. While there have been movies about different sports like cricket, football and kabbadi, debutant director N V Ramkumar has woven a story around a basketball player. Playing this lead role is Mahesh, who played the hero in 'Angadi Theru'. The actor happens to be a basketball player in real life too.

Impressed by the story, ace composer Ilaiyaraja has penned and rendered a song for the movie for which music has been scored by his son, Karthik Raja. On knowing this, composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, director Venkat Prabhu and actor Premgi have also sung a song together.

It doesn’t end there. Actor Vimal, who says he would want to be a part of every project he likes, has done a cameo in 'Veyilodu Vilayadu'. Vimal will appear in a song with a temple festival as backdrop. The song has been shot in Naatarasankottai with 5,000 people. Vimal will be seen shaking a leg as part of the dance troupe that performs the festival.

The scenes of basketball tournaments are said to be a highlight of the film. Dhananya, who went on to complete her education after her debut 'Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum', returns to tinsel town with this film.
