Kreshna gets comical

The three-film-old Kreshna, who was last seen in an unusual role in Kazhugu, is now back with Vaanavarayan Vallaaraayan (VV). The film is a rom-com about two brothers and TV artiste Ma Ka Pa Anand is debuting as Kreshna’s brother. Monal Gujjar is the heroine, who plays a college girl.

Speaking about the film, Kreshna reveals, “I want to do a variety of roles. In Alibaba I played a thief. In Katradhu Kalavu, a cheat, and in Kazhugu, a man who picks up dead bodies. Now in VV, I get to do comedy, which I love!”

Kreshna plays a rich, village brat, who’s only aim is to find love. At his 32nd attempt, he finds Monal, but his penchant for landing up in trouble comes in the way of true love. “There is no need for villains, as the brothers cause enough trouble themselves! Even the stunts are comical!” laughs Kreshna.

Santhanam is playing a crucial role, while the rest of the cast includes Thambi Ramaiah, Kovai Sarala and Sowcar Janaki who returns to the big screen after a long gap.

The film is directed by Rajamohan of Kumkuma Poovum Konjum Puravum fame and Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music. Mainly shot in Nagercoil, Pollachi and Gobichettypalayam, the talkie portions are over and only the songs are remained to be shot.

An excited Kreshna reveals, “I am excited about the songs. We will head back to Pollachi for the songs to shoot  on live locations.” The schedule is set for March end.
