Mahendran
Master Mahendran, who has done a number of Tamil films as a child artiste, turns hero with a new film. While some announcements have already been made about films with him playing the lead role, this one titled Porida Pazhagu and directed by a debutant Sekar Bharathy, is currently being shot in and around Kanchipuram.
The film deals with illegal sand mining. While the hero works as a lorry driver for the head of a sand mafia group played by Riaz Khan, his lover played by a Tamil girl Neelambari is a nature lover. How Neelambari uses Mahendran to stop illegal sand mining and defeat Riaz Khan is what the film is said to be about.
Interestingly, music director Ilaiyaraja’s daughter singer Bhavatharini is composing music for Porida Pazhagu and lyricists Snehan, Pa Vijay and Hridhaya have penned songs. Bhavatharini has already composed music for a few feature films and short films.
