Pattinson was weeks away from proposing Stewart

Actor Robert Pattinson was due to ask for actress-girlfriend Kristen Stewart's hand in marriage and he had even bought a five-million-pound mansion for their future before being told about her affair with director Rupert Sanders.

"Robert hoped to marry Kristen and was making preparations to spring a proposal before she admitted cheating. He had bought the house in Los Angeles to be their home and saw them staying there for a long time," femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

But since discovering the news, Pattinson is angry with Stewart and the 26-year-old has moved out of their home here.

"Now Robert is angry. He has left the mansion and not spoken to her since. They have exchanged heated text messages only," added the source.

After pictures of Stewart and Sanders together emerged, the couple publically confessed to cheating on their respective lovers, and the director has apologised profusely to his model-and-actress wife Liberty Ross.
