A cascade of fun at Kalakriti 2012

Vael’s Billabong High International School held its annual cultural programme ‘Billabong Brio - Kalakriti 2012’ on August 9 and 10 on its premises.
The two-day fest was inaugurated in the presence of Ishari K Ganesh, Chancellor, Vels University, Arthi Ganesh, Pro-Chancellor, Venkatachalam, dean, Meenakshi Ramesh, principal, Vael’s Billabong High, and academician Dr Raaman. Keeping up the celebrities quotient were eminent actors Ramya Krishnan and Kushboo.
Students from 13 participating schools competed in a variety of events, including adzap, cooking without fire, jam and debates. A fashion pageant depicting the culture and heritage of various countries across the world was the highlight of the programme.
There was a delightful camaraderie among the participants as they put their best efforts to perform well. The all-round best performer trophy was bagged by Vel’s Vidyashram School, Pallavaram. Singer Krish gave away the prizes to the winners of the cultural.
The programme concluded with a grand finale which left the visiting schools eagerly waiting for the next edition of Kalakriti.
