Learnpedia Edutech on November 2 launched Study Mate, a digital content aid for preparing for IIT’s Joint Entrance Examination, in Kerala. Edex spoke to Krishna Rao Akula, CEO, Learnpedia, on what’s on offer.
“Study Mate is available in three modes as DVDs at Rs 6,900, SD cards at Rs 8,900 and as a 10’ micromax tab at Rs 18,900. They cover JEE syllabus via videos, animations and relevant preloaded modules,” begins Akula.
First launched on October 18 in Hyderabad, Study Mate has 1,100 admirers so far. The content has been developed by IITians and PhD-holders, who come with decades of experience in JEE coaching.
“We provide 750 academic sessions and you can rewind and access these lessons anytime you want. The best thing about Study Mate is the doubt clearing section. You can post your queries on www.learnpedia.in and our experts shall clear them within 24 hours,” beams Akula.
However, Akula, says that Study Mate is only a supplementary aid to be used in addition to your regular JEE training. “There are around 28 lakh aspirants taking the JEE every year. Unfortunately we don’t have that many qualified teachers. This is where Study Mate fills the gap,” he says.
