Book on A O Hume to be released

Defence Minister A K Antony will release ‘A O Hume - Desiya Prasthanathinte Pithavu’, a biographical book on the founder of Indian National Congress’, at Indira Bhavan, Vellayambalam on August 4.
The book, penned by T S Joy, attempts to put on record the contribution of Allan Octavio Hume, who came to India as a British civil servant and later turned into a spokesperson for the colonised country. Priyadarsini Publications, which has brought out the book, is also releasing two other titles on the occasion - P N Krishnankutty’s ‘Alpha Madangunuu’ and a poetry collection called ‘Fousiya Yoonus-inte Kavithakal’. KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala will preside over the function.
Health Minister V S Sivakumar, KPCC Vice President Thalekkunnil Basheer, Palode Ravi MLA, MM Hassan, C Divakaran, PSC Chairman K S Radhakrishnan and others will participate.
