Christmas season begins on Sunday

The Christmas season will kick off in the city on a musical note on Sunday.
Thirteen church choirs and the YMCA Choir will come together at the University Senate Hall on Sunday evening for an X’mas Carol programme organised by the YMCA Thiruvananthapuram.
‘O Come all ye Faithful...’ will open the programme at 5.30 pm and it will come to a close with ‘Silent night, Holy Night...’ sung jointly by all 14 choirs.
Among the participants are, YMCA Choir; Immanuel Mar Thoma Church Choir, Paruthippara; CSI Choir, Peroorkada; St George Orthodox Cathedral Choir, Spencer Junction; Ebenezer Mar Thoma Church Choir, Peroorkada; Salem Mar Thoma Church Choir, Vazhuthacaud; CSI Christ Church, Palayam and the CSI Mateer Memorial Church Choir.
K Jayakumar, Vice-Chancellor of the Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University, will be the chief guest on the occasion.
