Workshop on farming held

Agriculture Director R Ajithkumar inaugurated the workshop on ‘Organic farming and high-tech farming’ organised by Indian Agriculture Association (IAA) and Teams here the other day.

IAA president G B Pillai presided over the function. C Bhaskaran from Kerala Agriculture University; K Prathapan, Director, Horticulture Mission; R K Vishwambaran, Association vice-president; N G Balachandranath; and S K Suresh spoke.

 Kerala Agriculture University National Agricultural Research Project associate director P Sivaprasad, R Gopimani and P Raghunath presented papers at the seminar. K S  Umamaheshwaran was the moderator. P Balachandran welcomed the gathering and K Ramakrishna Pillai proposed the vote of thanks.
