As part of the agitation against the amendments being brought out by the UDF Government in the Kerala Land Use Bill the CPM-affiliated Bhooparishkarana Samithi will take out two vehicle rallies in the state.
CPM general secretary Prakash Karat would inaugurate the rally from the southern region in Neyyatinkara on December 10. CPM politburo member S Ramachandran Pillai will inaugurate the rally from the northern region in Kasargod. Both the rallies will conclude in Ernakulam on December 23. A Vijayaraghavan will lead the rally from the northern region and E P Jayarajan from the southern region.
The vehicle rallies are planned by the Samithi members in protest against the move to provide land to mafia groups through the amendment. The Samithi demanded to provide land to the landless tribals in the state.
