Sahitheeyolsavam in city from Tuesday

‘Sahitheeyolsavam 2012’, organised by the Vallathol Sahithya Samithi, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Tuesday at 6 pm. On the occasion, the Chief Minister will award the Vallathol Award, comprising a cash award of Rs 1,11,111 and citation, to lyricist Yusufali Kecheri.

 During the three-day festival, there will be   Vallathol poem recital and a literary meeting on Wednesday. The literary meeting will be inaugurated by Tourism Minister A P Anil Kumar. Vilakkudi Rajendran, Chenkal Sudhakaran and S Radhakrishnan will participate in the discussion.

 The meeting of poets on Thursday will be inaugurated by poet Chunakkara Ramankutty. This would be followed by a poetry recital session. The concluding meeting on the day will be inaugurated by Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan.
