Call to promote inter-caste marriage

The youth should react against different levels of inequality, discrimination and exploitation in society, exhorted Swami Agnivesh to students of Sacred Heart College on Friday.

He said that promoting inter-caste and inter-religious marriages could solve the issue to an extent. He said all have equal rights to live and grow irrespective of gender and stressed the need for a change for the betterment of society. He also had an interactive session with students.

He pointed out that spirituality without seeing God within was meaningless and that traditions focussing on blind beliefs should be discouraged. “Why are we who follow a tradition of seeing God in every being consume other beings?” he asked.

Naturopathist Dr Jacob Vadakkanchery was  present.
